NLIS Hub acts to reduce service provider charge to NLIS channels

14.07.09

The National Land Information Service (NLIS) Hub today announced a decision to reduce its local authority combined LLC1 and CON29R service provider charge to NLIS channels by more than 50%. The reduction will happen in October this year and licensed conveyancers who subscribe to the NLIS channels will benefit from the greatly reduced charge.

NLIS is a reliable, secure and easy to use service that allows conveyancers to request and receive local land and property searches electronically via an NLIS channel. Search products are supplied by local authorities, the Land Registry, the Coal Authority, and water authorities.

Land Data CEO Jan Boothroyd commented: "The general public want fast, low cost reliable search information and the NLIS Hub's new pricing policy will go a long way to help make this a reality.”

The decision confirms NLIS Hub's commitment to authoritative, complete, real-time local authority conveyancing search information.

Chris Strutt, Partner at Mayo Wynne Baxter solicitors said: "This is great news for our clients and reinforces what we have long held to be true - that with the ever greater efficiency and cost savings, the NLIS official search in partnership with SearchFlow enables us to deliver a high quality service and the most complete, real time local authority search information. We look forward to passing on the benefits to our clients long into the future.”
